fatheroz, You have a pretty good picture of the reality of things as they are...the power accumulated by these few individuals wasn't acquired in one day...They have been at it for years...with our own money, which we put into their hands in the form of retirement plans, pensions, insurance, investing through their big money houses and their armies of brokers, etc. etc....This administration is apparently even pushing for the Social Security funds to be placed in their hands.......Any appearance of new technology or opportunities which level the playing field even slightly for the common person, and enables them to control their own money, threatens these robber barons, IMO...and they have the power to deal harshly with these perceived threats...The SOES system, for instance, is constantly under attack...It is the only mechanism, to my knowledge, that puts its users on almost an even basis with Market Makers, who constantly complain against it to the SEC...They call users of that system "SOES Bandits"....Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!!!! |
