Fix-It Utilities 99 Beats Out Nuts and Bolts 98 in Retail Sales; Next Stop, Norton Utilities?
BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 1999--Today Mijenix Corporation announced that Fix-It Utilities 99 is outselling the regular Nuts and Bolts 98 product in retail sales, according to the latest PC Data Research weekly sales data. "We are experiencing wonderful success at retail and look forward to next outpacing Symantec's Norton Utilities at retail," said Alex Eckelberry, executive vice president of Mijenix Corporation. "Our goal is to end Norton's hegemony on the market, and we continue to proceed according to plan." Fix-It Utilities 99, a new general-purpose utility for Windows 95, 98 and NT competes with Symantec (NASDAQ: SYMC), IMSI (NASDAQ: IMSI), TouchStone Software Corporation (TSSW) and Network Associates (NASDAQ: NETA) product offerings.
