OT Upgrading I've come to believe the only option is constant small (or not so small) upgrading of parts. Recently I upgraded my P133 to a new Celeron 300a system. What started out as a mobo/RAM/CPU upgrade has turned into a full scale upgrade with only the monitor remaining. The annoying thing is the number of small things that change and need to be upgraded. The old system had a serial mouse/old style keyboard/72 pin simms/AT case form factor. The new system has PS/2 mouse and keyboard/DIMMS/ATX form factor. Some of these things can be patched with adaptors but other require new hardware. This is not all bad as the old system is now the server talking to the cable modem. This lets my wife and myself share a fast internet connection along with file and printer sharing. But I wish something as simple as a keyboard plug would stay the same for a couple of years. (Don't get me started on the death of ISA, lack of Firewire support, USB (possibly USB2), SCSI, AGP x, RDRAM, plus hard drive interfaces (DMA/EIDE/ATA, etc))
