You know, there is a possibility that E-Machines merely saw the handwriting on the wall. They need a steady source of el cheapo CPU's coming in, and AMD hasn't been steady in its supply. Now that Intel is slashing prices down to the K6-2 level, perhaps E-Machines decided it's not worth pursuing AMD anymore.

I don't think AMD will really mind losing low-end marketshare from here on out if they're truly gung-ho on the K7.
