Zora, I'll try to give you as many details as I can. I don't post much since I don't have a lot of confidence in my decisions. Also, I subscribe to Market Gems on Jenna's thread and plan to follow some of her picks as my intro to the trading world. Since this a fee-service it would not be fair to post her picks. But after the fact it should be OK.

I really don't have a specific approach. I don't day trade - more swing or position. I like sectors and being a computer programmer concentrate on computer/internet technology since that is what I know.

If a stock interests me I will do a little DD with clearstation.com for the TA & insidertrader.com for the fundamentals, etc. If the stock still looks good I will take a position - usually 100 shares. I will set tight stops on the downside and looser stops on the upside. Capital preservation will be my first priority.

I need to learn to short which I have never done before and will be exploring options. In the beginning I will be using Schwab - which I don't like - but don't want to spend for the Level II. I would like real time quotes with charts and alerts and will be looking into Qcharts for this. I may subscribe to theStreet.com but am not sure yet.

Finally, I have a specific time frame in which to give this a try, a specific amount of money to play with, and a specific daily $ amount that I need to live. If I can't make my daily living allowance within my time frame I am out. Obviously, if I lose my risk capital, I am out. Finally, if I can't make more than the 30% return I have been averaging the last 2 years, I am out.

That is about it. We shall see.

Luck

Marshall
