Perhaps it sounds ridiculous to you. What I think is ridiculous is people getting upset at the proposed merger not based on the merits or potential of the new company but based simply on the short term price and WS's immediate reaction. I would have been much more nervous had the analysts came out and said they loved this merger. Cowell knows exactly what he is doing and I trust that his actions will be in the best long term interest of the company and shareholders. I will take Cowell's judgment over that of the technologically ignorant WS analysts any day.
