Hi Tom, I think the VLSI franchise did exceptionally well. Couple of field questions. The most recent sale generated more cash than shows up on Newport, is this because you drove it negative recently?

Since I have just now been activated by Waterhouse, and am now trying to select my first AIM candidate (with a low dollar commission fee), can you summarize how & why you selected VLSI back in 1990? It seems to me that $50,000 was a large commitment at that time and deserves further discussion.

Now that the monkey is truly on my back, when I look at a position I ask myself? Is this a buy & hold, is this a simple trade to pay me short term or is this a long term AIM commitment that keeps me involved? I really question how many of us newbies understand the building of returns over 9 long years ...

Sincerely, I hope to establish myself as a respected AIMer, but I am cautious to pull the trigger when I view this as a marriage more than a simple date.

Keith

PS - What would have happened had you placed that same $50,000 on MSFT 9 years ago? :o)

PSS - It appears that this sale a lone would put you in the same search mode.

PSSS - The AIM RedNecks have their 3rd meeting Thursday night, and I plan to discuss these very issues. Some are actively trading, but I don't believe they're AIMing.
