IMHO

I would hold on to my E*trade till after the split. As I am sure you are aware they have a neat little deal with E*offering(check the IPO page) that has made joining E*trade attractive. I feel that this deal will encourage more novice investors to sign up and have an opportunity to participate in a greater number of IPOs.

Thats my Hunch
