Interesting set of events:

1) National Semi today says it is too hard to compete with the Intel microprocessor, and is going to focus its energy elsewhere.

2) National own Mediamatics which claims it "is becoming the world leader in MPEG technology."

3) Intel is rumored to have an interest in CUBE.

Coincidence?
