Sir Vinny--There is a measure of truth to what you say but other factors certainly enter in.
A scam stock allowed to run the course plotted by the criminals running it, maximizes the damage done. The number of naive investors taken can be huge. BRE-X had it been exposed early might have taken in a few million dollars instead of billions.
To my mind the sooner exposed the better. It limits the damage to the innocent, offers the best chance of arresting the criminals involved and getting some of the money stolen returned.
All the Best
Druss
