I totally agree with you. Let me tell you my story. I live in Kirkland, Washington, and am currently using AOL. Over the weekend, I investigated on the availability of cable modem access in my neighborhood so I called TCI Cable because they offer cable modem access via At Home. I was told it was not available in my neighborhood, and there was no plan to offer it. They told me cable modem access will come to Bellevue, the town next to mine, in late December of this year.

The point of my story is the availability of cable modem is extremely slow. I have read somewhere currently less than 2% of U.S. population has any form of fast Internet access. By the time, cable modem reaches a large percentage of population, AOl will have accomplished their fast Internet strategy, and I believe Steve Case and his lieutenants are working hard at it.
