I get curious whenever you come up with something. So I did some checking on this suggestion to Maggie on TPIE This is what I found so far:

TPIE principle address is
777 South Flagler Drive
Phillips Point East Tower
Suite 909
West Palm Beach, FL 33401

The TPI Enterprises in FL is an Inactive Foreign Corp. (registered in New Jersey) But NJ has very little info.

According to the most recent SEC filings dated Feb. 11, 1999 1.1+ million shares are owned by the COLLEGE RETIREMENT EQUITIES FUND (CREF). They, in turn are part of TIAA-CREF. Now these guys are really big!

They have trustees that are the Who's Who of Money and watch over an enormous amount of funds. Their web site is TIAA-CREF.ORG.
I found this through the EDGAR filing under CREF.

My question is first, why would CREF own more than 5% of TPI ENTERPRISES? And secondly, why all the activity in the past few days?

These are the MM's for T P I ENTERPRISES INC as of

May 4, 1999

BMUR BREAN MURRAY & CO., INC. Active
CARR CARR SECURITIES CORPORATION Active
HILL HILL THOMPSON MAGID & CO INC Active
HRZG HERZOG, HEINE, GEDULD, INC. Active
HUNT HUNTLEIGH SECURITIES CORPORATION Active
NITE KNIGHT SECURITIES, INC. Active
PGON PARAGON CAPITAL CORPORATION Deleted
SHRP SHARPE CAPITAL, INC. Active
WIEN WIEN SECURITIES CORP. Active

This was just a quick search, I'll try to find out more.

I'm sure I can say this unequivocally. On behalf of everyone who follows TPII, thanks Alan for all your help and insight. It's much appreciated. Hope we can all return the many favors.

Rick
