Mr. Sam thank you for the insightful post. In general I agree with you r analysis, but let me throw out a curve-ball. From what I've heard the Obsidian concept seems to address many deficiencies present in the current tool sets (I'll include the Lam and Aplex as current for sake of argument)and is establishing new levels of performance in at least some applications. How would you see Speedfam positioned if the Obsidian concept was not constrained by the financial limitations inherent in a start up? I agree that there is room for more than one player/concept so my question is more one of how does the technology compare if the financial restraints on a startup are removed? And then would one expect the newer concept to establish a paradigm?
