jach, can you provide a link to the whole article, since the "losers" along with CSCO were LU, NORTEL and 3COM, I'm curious to see what each of their proposals looked like and what the pro and cons were judged to be. Odd the the four largest networking companies were not chosen, makes me wonder if the job was too small for them to give it very serious or personalized consideration, (don't get me wrong, I think the most successful companies generally pay close attention to even small pieces of business, just wondering aloud).
