"Gold Rises Despite Central Bank Sales"
"Canada Sells 135,000 ounces"

I was looking into Bank of Canada a long time ago.
They play the hedge fund game better then Soro's does. They trade, buy and short futures like crazy. They play off the US bonds, and when they start to run into problems, they'll lower rates. All the way down with the Canadian dollar they sold US bonds. Isn't it ironic that Canada's 30 year are below the US 30 year yields, and are stable? BoC knows that it's the worlds easiest G7 currency that can be pushed, based on a cough from Ottawa. How many times have they told Cretien to put his foot in his mouth, surely he can't be that dumb by accident?

No I digress. I believe that reguardless of how much Gold Canada had/has, all the gold would do is undermine the benefits of floating currency. Had we the same levels as in 1971, we'd be in what would be a true boom/bust cycle. And as of 1991... bust only. Canada needs technology fast. It's lagging the world. Either we will join USA, or we will suffer badly.
