Tangent Imaging Systems' Reproworks Software Now Available on Colortrac Scanners
LIMERICK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 1999--Tangent Imaging Systems, a unit of SEDONA Corporation (Nasdaq: SDNA), a pioneer and leader in wide format scanning and imaging software, announced today a unique agreement with Colortrac, Ltd.
Tangent is now a value-added distributor of Colortrac's color scanners, to be powered by Tangent's Reproworks(TM) software. Reproworks has been recognized for the superiority of its proprietary closed loop color management system, which provides excellent color match for large format color scanners. Reproworks also has the most diverse features of any scanning software product, resulting in increased capability, productivity, and profitability for Tangent's clients. Colortrac is well known as a mid-range scanner in price and quality, providing more than acceptable color results for the vast majority of the work of traditional reprographics companies.

Tangent's major clients had asked for a lower priced solution for their smaller locations, so Tangent evaluated the other lower priced scanners on the market and determined that Colortrac had the best color match capability among them. After determining that Reproworks would integrate well with the scanner, the two companies agreed on an arrangement that would be beneficial to their clients.

Tangent will provide its software to current Colortrac owners and will offer Reproworks to international distributors of Colortrac products. In addition, Tangent will distribute Colortrac products in the U.S. along with Reproworks. |
