The following is excerpted from the summary of the Hauppauge quarterly results report from Yahoo at:

biz.yahoo.com

> > >"...We're also excited by the strategic relationships we have established with players from a range of technology sectors, including an alliance with TeraLogic, a semiconductor manufacturer, for our Digital TV receivers and our development project with WaveSystems regarding their electronic commerce system. We plan to continue to seek relationships with innovative companies that are as committed to making the personal computer the hub of the home
entertainment system as we are.''

Ken Aupperle, Hauppauge's President, added, ''We look forward to introducing Hauppauge's digital television (DTV) receivers in the US and Europe toward the end of the summer. As first demonstrated at COMDEX in November, our WinTV-D product line enables desktop computers to receive and decode digital video and data broadcasts on PCs at a fraction of the cost of dedicated DTV receivers. Given Hauppauge's first-to-market position and established brand
presence, we believe we are uniquely positioned to benefit from the growing supply of Internet based digital video content and the demand for high speed digital data broadcast receiver capabilities for PCs. We expect sales of our digital receiver products to contribute to our revenues in fiscal 2000, which begins October 1.''< < <

Do I correctly interpret the above to indicate that Hauppauge's expectation is that its major product deployment shouldn't be expected to take place until late summer? It is talking about the digital version of the WIN-TV, but do I recall correctly that there is a prior version for which we have been expecting imminent deployment, or are they one in the same? If there is a prior version, would it be paranoid to wonder why no mention of expected shipment of that item is made in the release?

I really can't remember all the HAUP detail as well as I should (implication of dull-wittedness readily accepted).
