Hi Andrew,
this is the text of a message I posted in another BFX thread that never took off! (http://www.techstocks.com/~wsapi/investor/s-7768/reply-1) I repost it here since it seems that there is interest in BFX developing...
disclaimer: I'm in @1.05, 1.22, 1.25 and yes, I wish I would've discovered this at .10cts per share. But it wasn't yet making much money at the time!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here it goes (posted Nov. 8 1996)
are you still following this stock?
Bow Flex's main product is an innovative muscle building/conditioning machine which they market via commercials. They have an infomercial in the making which they will use to market a new product of this type. I believe this infomercial will be ready to be air toward the end of this quarter.
What has struck me about this company is the appearance of great value to the investor, mainly, I believe, because the stock has remained undiscovered and its value has not caught up with fundamentals.
For your info, Rev 96 (Rev 95) were 1.4Mil (1.14) 2.22Mil (1.1MIL) 3.4Mil (1.3Mil) during the last 3 quarters. 3.4Mil quarter was announced last week. Now what is striking for a penny stock is that i) there aren't tenthousandgadzillion shares floating: actually 5.5Mil floating and 8.5Mil total. ii) they're making money! last 3 quarters 96 (95) were .01 (0.0) .03 (-0.01) 0.04 (-0.01). Now that's 8cts in trailing earnings (mind you, canadian cents!!) and the stock price closed at 1.05$ cdn today.
The cash position of the company has been increasing steadily the last few quarters
So why is it still so low? I think simply because it's a new and undiscovered company. The infomercial might change that, and eventually some brokerage house will pick up on the rev/earnings story. My fair-price target is 2.25$ cdn based on current rev/earnings growth. If they can grow revenues to 15Mil in 97 and eps to 12-15cts, I believe the stock should easily trade above 4$.
Voila, that's what I know about the financials of this company. Unless there is a sudden and unexpected turnaround in this company's prospects, I can imagine with difficulty a price below 1$. I've noticed alot of bidders around the 1$-1.05$ range this week. I was one of them and got the shares I wanted.
