You are preaching to the choir my friend. As has been mentioned on these threads before, non-disclosures often prevent companies from announcing deals. Others have speculated that CSCC's failure to place $ figures on recent deals is an implicit ommision that they are small.

Here is how it sometimes works though. In March96 the company received a FR contract from PacBell. I don't recall ever seeing any mention of ATM in the deal, but excerpts from a 2/27/97 Info. Week article lead me to conclude that CSCC's role has expanded beyond FR. Anyone disagree?

...Cisco says it sells distributed processors for routers, so that each high-speed interface coming into the router has a separate processor. Still, the PacBell failure happened on the same day the company was migrating a high-speed ATM switch from Cascade Communications into its backbone network. "We are very concerned about reliability," says PacBell's Cota, "and we are moving to switches in our new POPs [points of presence]."
