I think RCA has got it right. Affordable cost. Sufficient memory. Utilization of the money saving CompactFlash standard. Parallel port connector to allow for rapid downloads to removable memory. I am still quite surprised at the sticker price. They are practically giving these things away.

In my estimation any new desktop PC's should have a CF slot as a standard feature, or at least a type II PCMCIA slot like laptops have had for many years now. CF is just not going away anytime soon and it sucks that you have to go out and buy additional hardware because IBM or Michael Dell decided that a CF slot is a luxury.
