MK: Thanks for the link. Message 9353391

It will be interesting to actually read the methodology and results of this study. Several questions that are obviously not addressed in the PR release are:

- Why were the results combined for both "Viagra failures" and "patients experiencing side effects with Viagra"? What was the efficacy rate within these two groups? The % of success in the Viagra failure group would be a particularly interesting % to know.

-Did the patient group that experienced side effects with Viagra include patients in which Viagra may have been effective but is contraindicated ie Nitrates? What was the success rate in this group?

-Was this a placebo controlled study or open label? What would have been the placebo effect in these groups?

-How were the patients selected?

-What was the side effect profile of the drugs used?

-Why did 35% of the patients chose to discontinue using the drugs used in the study? Were these patients responders or non-responders?
