lee....<ot>thanks... economics, econometric models, whatever can never become close to exact....for they must freeze what they analyze at a point in time..figures released are "past"...things change too quickly, with current technology...no more than a sophisticated psychic hotline...if he admits he can't predict, they why dwell on it...my belief is that his "money policy" only works by maintaining or cutting rates...do you ever remember when a tightening had a positive effect on our economy...higher rates cause inflation....common sense...costs always passed along to the consumer....your keen insight appreciated..cheers, ed a. p.s....my choice for his replacement is dionne warwick...she could set up "900" number conference calls....
