There is a very high probability that the acquisition of MediaOne will not win government approval. FCC will not tolerate a cable monopoly in AT&T. Many senators and government agencies are already alarmed and started to raise red flags about AT&T's aggressive move into cable.

I haven't seen one news item in the last few days that reflects what you're saying here. Didn't the former head of the FCC come out and say that this deal is EXACTLY what was envisioned when the telecom act was created? Please post your sources. Perhaps you were referring to this:
