Alex - if you do the math, it does make sense. I do have a long-term portfolio I don't touch. But I also have some cash with which I trade. The return on my trading is higher, than I could achieve by just buy & hold - that's been true for 3 years now. Example from yesterday: bought 2K of MSFT at 76 7/8, sold 80 1/2 today, bought at 79 1/4, sold 80 7/8, will continue to trade. Note, that I did not hit the very bottoms and tops, but even with taxes etc., this ends up with more net after tax $ than if I bought and held the 2K. Works for me.
