220,000 isn't a big chunk of PLT, and remember, he has to cover. There could easily be a much bigger short position, since under Canadian regs brokers need declare only the uncovered shorts, meaning shorts exceeding half their shares in hand. Greenline has a few PLT of mine, and I'll bet they've lent some to somebody brave enough to short them. Some conspiracy theories get discussed under Gold, Mines and Natural Resources, many of our neighbours to the south are shocked at the laxity, in some respects, of our security rules. Caveat emptor--or as we say down on the rancho in Chiapas, "mucho ojo"--lots of eye-. I see no signs of either manipulation or promotion here--look at the volume--recent weakness comes from the fact that PLT got way, way ahead of itself a while ago, and the fact that maybe they won't make it, all in all, I'm long and getting longer...buena suerte... |
