jbn, that was my rationale for buying into PROG, but it did not get me any 10 baggers. CYMI is judged a little more rationally. There is visibility of future earning and thus one can use rational measures, in AMZN there visibility of expenditures growth rate exceeding top line growth rate, which in my simplistic book, is a formula for disaster. Mind you, they were quite smart in raising a billion plus, so their demise is far out if at all, but whatever they will make they will have to spread over many many shares in the future.

PS. Ya, you guessed right, I missed the big move in AMZN, despite being there close to the start when I liked the no inventories and no receivable "business model". To my shame, I left much more on the table than I did on getting out of IOM too early. (VBG), but look at where IOMG is now, far below where I sold it, can you visualize AMZN in the same situation? I can. |
