SF, your stop order on ABOV at 80 puzzles me. You're always so generous sharing your knowledge and views, please do so again. RE: the psychology of stock splits. Why would you not want to hang on? It rises today anticipating the split, shouldn't it? It rises after the split--yippee I'm cheap again!--shouldn't it? So why split before the split? See, what I'm really asking about is a better perspective on trading around split time.
