Warning means the conditions are right to create a tornado, so be warned. Watch means tornadoes have been spotted, so watch out. A watch is more severe than a warning. Probably the storm system will pass without event, but just to be on the safe side:
Rule of thumb, if you see a tornado heading your way, go to the inner most room of the house on the lowest floor. Avoid windows. If the inner room is a bathroom, grab a mattress (I realize this sounds corny) but climb in the tub with the mattress above you.
