Don't sweat it, Tornado Watch just means conditions favorable. That's practically the whole midwest in the spring. Tornado Warning means one sighted on the ground seek shelter, or it's real meaning, go out on the front porch with a beer in one hand and video camera in the other and look for it. They're not exactly the kind of thing that sneak up on you, plenty of warning time to find a good place lay lo if it heads your way. Just relax and enjoy the accompanying lightning show, it's far more deadly. Mr. Burns
