My explanation, perhaps the low price and float, but I expect the price may be raised by IPO time to perhaps $20. In any case these shares will be much in demand and bid up sharply. However Goldman Sachs is going to try to put them in the hands of investors who plan to hold. Therefore, unlike a micro-cap IPO, BNBN will not be as volotile and will hold its value. So less fodder for aggressive traders. I too am disappointed we're only up a point or so but remember BKS has been in the mid 40's this year already and with their roll out of aggressive plans the price will ramp up more gradually back into the 40's IMHO. Some have said BNBN will hit 100 and therefore BKS as majority holder will benefit even more than anticipated. I'm sure they're looking at the longterm picture here instead of just giving traders a field day. Also the AOL problems hurt a bit. And the net market is still down (except for ATT allies).
I expected and still expect much better. BKS may not triple-quadruple like DBCC (for only one day) but the downside is minimized this way and the upside is still very substantial. Still every recent IPO backdoor (ZD, UIHIA) have risen dramatically 2-3 weeks before the IPO so we should see some real action soon. Even if it "only" makes it into the mid 40's I'll be happy. I just can't see it staying in the 30's for long though. There's a lot more news and attention to come. I am perplexed as hell though by anyone who sells in the lower 30's. Why? Will any poster who just sold please try to explain this? Seems to me the good times are just beginning now.
