I guess if AMD really wanted to exercise some real economic sense, they would take advantage of the initial low supply and high demand by charging $1000 per K7 CPU. It goes against their philosophy of "damage Intel at all costs," as well as their promises of a $500 intro, but in actuality AMD really needs this money.

Of course, AMD probably won't do that, because they'd rather make a statement than make a buck.
