Your comment, in your post #474, "Yes, but don't overlook their ability to take a blood sample and send it to the lab. This is the real competition QDEL and CMTR are up against" has no merit. With Quidel's CLIA waved One-Step H. pylori test it would not be cost effective for physicians to send a blood sample to a lab. The lab would just use Quidel's test or a similar serologic antibody test and charge for its service. Doctor's may send a biopsy or breath sample to a lab, but these tests are much, much more expensive and will not compete for the same point of care market as Quidel's H.pylori test.
