Mike,

Therein is the rub is it not? If they cannot provide legitimate shareholders with the dividend, well, what then? They will have to offer a price high enough to buy these phantom shares back. Unless I am mistaken, the essence of this short squeeze comes when the shareholders demand their share dividend.

So what would you take in exchange if the shorts cannot hand over your share dividend to you? There will have to be some compensation, and I, personally, would want a whole lot of compensation.

It might be a good idea to keep calling your broker and asking where your shares are after it goes ex-dividend, or even tomorrow on the record date. I don't intend to be passive about this.
