Jan -- AMZN's fate lies with the overall market tomorrow. I just got in from some meetings and was surprised at the imbalance between the DAX and the DOW. We have a nervous market ahead of tomorrow's employment cost index. This gives us three scenarios -- 1) Weak jobs data and a market rally. 2) Moderate jobs data and a rally. 3) Very strong jobs report and a stock market disaster. If it is the last of the three, don't be proud -- preserve capital. I left my chips on the table with LSI, which is my way of saying I bet on scenario 2. Unfortunately I will be 8 miles high while all this plays out (yes, an airplane -- not from sniffing glue). Since I have placed my bet, perhaps it is just as well that I can't watch. If it is scenario three -- look for any opportunity to get out because Monday could be a day to remember ala black Monday. In the meantime, lets all chant 'relief rally' and hope for the best. DOW 11,500 here we come?
