Pfizer Inc. sued Sibia claiming two of its mehtods of evaluating new drugs are invalied and unenforceable. Can you believe this s--t? It'll cost 'em more to sue than buy the whole company! Nothing like kicking the little bios while their down! This sucks.... here's more: "In a suit filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Wilmingtion, N.Y. based Pfizer says La Jolla based Sibia has threatened to sue Pfizer ofr patent infringement unless Pfizer pays $2.5 million over two years as a licensing fee. [at least we know the new asking price for the licenses] "Sibia has engaged in activities which constitue misuse of the patent protection, making it unenforeable, beause Sibia also seeks to collect royalties on future sales of drugs made by Pfizer without using the patented technology," Pfizer says. Sibi's win against Cadus also mentioned. Sounds like they have sound some double secret clause in some law and think they can win. These guys (PFE) suck IMO. DAK
