Sprint Awards Hispanic Firm $120 Million Contract
May 6, 1999 03:42 PM KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint has signed a $120 million contract with MasTec, Inc., a Hispanic-owned telecommunications infrastructure construction firm. MasTec, headquartered in Miami with operations throughout North America, will perform a variety of construction projects, including installing copper and fiber networks and providing network technicians to support service installation and maintenance activities, initially at Sprint sites in Fort Myers, Fla. and Las Vegas, Nev., and their surrounding metropolitan areas.
