Hi Freeus:

Let me quote this article from Investor's Business Daily:

BIG TECHS HIT AS BROAD SELL-OO CONTINUES

The Nasdaq Stock Market started the day on a positive note but closed sharply lower ... Nervous investors continued to unload shares in highflying tech firms ...

The Nasdaq composite lost 2.77% to 1639.68. By comparison NYSE composite fell 1.29% and Amex 1.05%. The majority of big-cap tech stocks were lower. Microsoft lost 4 to 105 1/4, Intel 2 3/4 to 77, WorldCom 2 3/8 to 46 13/16 and Oracle 1 5/16 to 21 5/16. Dell Computer dived 6 5/16 to 118 3/4 on double its usual trade.

Yahoo dropped 8 to 83 1/16. CMGI Information Services fell 9 11/16 to 50 on twice its average volume. The developer of Internet companies has lost nearly half its value from July 21st high.

When was that article? Seems it is written for today's action, except the numbers. De ja vu?

That article was on Monday August 31, 1998 recapping the Nasdaq Market on Friday August 28, 1998. Check the above prices: some of the stocks have split twice (Dell). Look at CMGI price then, and now. How about those people who sold CMGI that day and then realize that CMGI is at 227+ post split!!

Selling now could mean Buy High Sell Low. It is ugly, but by having ugly days allow us to appreciate beautiful days even more.

Enjoy the week-end and have a wonderful Mother's Day.

Paul
