The two stocks which I have won the InvestRight Daily Stock Pick Contest with are two that I have not daytraded at all. Although I hold a large number of shares these stocks were placed in the contest based on technical analysis and the hope that continued buying would take place.

I find it's reasonably easy to make money daytrading a few thousand shares a day if you limit your losses and temper your greed. It's extremely difficult to pick a stock that will actually close higher than it closed the previous day .
