Does this have any bearing on EDIG products?... May 5---Murray Hill, N.J. (AP) --Lucent Technologies said today it will create a Web site that will provide information to wireless devices including cellular phones and hand-held digital assistants. Lucent said that it licensed Custom Netcenter from Netscape Communications Corp. to develop the Web site called Zingo. Custom Netcenter helps businesses create customized Web sites that combine Internet content with business applications. The Web site targets professionals on the move, allowing Web page content to be translated into voice applications, according to a statement released by the Murray Hill-based Lucent. Mobile customers could use the site to have messages and information read to them or browse the internet. A beta version of the product will debut in June.
