CHRS sales will be up 1-3%


Specialty retailers are expected to show a range of results,
according to J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. retail analyst Maura Hunter
Byrne.
Of the companies she follows, a solid Valentine's Day at Victoria's
Secret is expected to help push Intimate Brands Inc.'s same-store sales
to a 5% to 7% gain. Limited Inc., however, is expected to report a 1% to
3% drop.
Among other companies Byrne follows, she sees Charming Shoppes Inc.
reporting a same-store sales gain of 1% to 3%, Gap Inc. an increase of
2% to 4% and Talbots Inc. is seen reporting sales flat to up 2%.
Edelman sees AnnTaylor Stores Corp. reporting relatively flat sales.
