ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION!!

Have an extremely interesting house of cards that will either fall down with the slightest puff of wind or turn into a solid speculation. Have been following the Western Digital thread for some time because of my belief they'll sign up this year, due to their 100% reliance on TFI and as far as I know, no concrete plans for MR.
Well... post on WD SI thread said that some radio guy in CA who closely follows WD and has made some prescient forecasts that turned out to be right has now made a forecast that there'll be "A new advanced technology announcement soon" I think he said in the next couple weeks. OK.

Now Lisa's broker says something big is going down with AXC in the next couple weeks. Has word leaked out somewhere re: KM and WD?

also, Gus posts over on WD some too, mentioning AXC at times, and he copied this job posting for WD from 1/28/97 in post 363 on SI WD board:
"SR PRIND ENG, MDES (don't know what it all means-Gus?)
Head/Media engineer with the responsibility to support NEW TECHNOLOGY DURING VOLUME RAMP & THRU PRODUCT LIFETIME. Must be familiar w/ all aspects of head/media technology, design and process issues. Candidates should have MS in relevant science/engineering discipline plus 8 years disk drive experience."
Could be KM platters and torodial/FC heads!

Plus, remember that WD engineers presented their own research paper on the benefits of KM at MMM 96, a big industry gathering last November I believe.

When I put all of them together, plus Bramson's 400K share purchase/borrowing of stock, it seems very possible that WD WILL ANNOUNCE KM AGREEMENT B4 END OF MONTH.

Again, others can see a different tack, but surely this seems at least a very distinct possibility.
