I understand that Vans management is performing a dog and pony show before investors and analysts in New York. They are talking about leveraging their footwear and apparel business into Generation Y entertainment like skateboard parks. There is also a rumor that Vans may be purchased by a sporting goods manufacturer at around $18 a share. But let's face it Vans has been undervalued for awhile and when you take a close look at the business, it seems cheap at 8 bucks a share.
