A few thoughts regarding the craziness of late...
1) approx. %45 of aol subscribers connect at 28.8 or slower.....I doubt more than %1 of them will pay double the price for a faster connection...if they cared about speed, they would spend the extra $50 and get a 56k modem...these people don't really care
2) aol today has agreements in place to supply approx. %45 of the country with broadband throuogh dsl service. If all the T deals are completed, they will have %60 of the potential cable customers, not potential homes.
3)Aol has more than 5 times the number iof internet customers as T and MSFT combined.....AOL will do deals as they have always done....They just haven't found the terms they like yet......no doubt that they will and no basis to any arguments or inuations that AOL is slipping at all
Emotions are a big part of this game, but I am certain in a very short period of time from now there will be many people out there that will be wondering what they were thinking when they sold and why they weren't buying instead.
