I read the Cisco article earlier this evening. The announcement came out several days ago and I've been waiting for more discussion in the industry press. I'd heard hints of difficulties over the last couple months, so it's not a total surprise. Paul Johnson (Robertson Stephens?) is one of the leading networking analysts who's indicated Cisco wouldn't be the next gorilla, speaking of the terabit space. Time will tell. My primary question is how many of their access contracts are dependent on their delivering the core?

BTW, I may go to CMTO's annual meeting as it's back to back with SDLI's on the 13th. Kill two birds with one stone. :)
