That problem may be solved for NN anyway, since there are a host of startups designing ASICs for ATM now, and it wouldn't surprise me to hear NN switches will have lots of non-NN content. WLD, absolutely true. However, don't believe for a minute that tht an MMC Networks switch fabric is going to be second sourced anywhere on the planet. Out-sourcing is not second sourcing. We are many years away (if ever) from standardized comms hardware for any types of products that command premium margins. In fact, I'd guess by the time standardized hardware can be built into a competitive ATM switch, will be the time to find a new industry to invest in. Gary
