Well, heres the way I see things. 1400 people, take an average 1000 sh. stock option since they are largely engineers, right? Obviously some more and some less but lets just take that figure, each option now worth $175. or thereabouts, we are looking at 245mm. if they win this suit.

You would think these lawsuits have no merit, right? Because qcom has their own lawyers and runs these deals through legal before they sign.

My experience is things aren't that clear cut... example someone I know was hired by a startup with 100K shares vesting over 4 yrs. After one year they fired him because basically they had to give him 100K to get him, they needed him for this one thing, it took one year to do, then the company was well on its way and the CEO didn't want to dole out the additional shares. He took this to court and won his total options from this company even though he was fired legally and hte option agreement states that if an employee is fired all options are forfeited.

OK, those are my concerns, I'll go back to lurk mode now, I feel like a fish in a mudpond here.
