Do you know how the source vendors for components are qualified and what Batch testing is done to mantain the performance.

In my experience you rely on your vendor to meet either normal Commercial or tougher Military standards. I'm afraid I don't know to much about it, other than if things go wrong you're usually the last to find out, and then you yell a lot at your vendor! :-) Seriously, I doubt very much Newbridge (or anyone else) does much testing on individual ASICs as they come in. It's assumed the manufacturer tested them adequately before they shipped them to you.
