Keith:
As I posted in "Day trading in Canada - Realtime", I'm new to day trading and have some questions. If this isn't the appropriate thread, kindly advise and I'll post appropriately.
It's obvious that to be a successful day trader one needs reliable real time quotes. I'm guessing that I'm at a huge disadvantage using Webbroker for my RTQ's as there is no streaming data, no charts, and significant lag time. Judging by the posts in the Real Time thread, the preferred source is Canadian Stockwatch, and probably the "Daytrader" subscription is the one to look at, but I'm unclear on the price structure. Could you give me an idea what your monthly subscription costs are, and which of CSW options are necessary and which aren't. I signed up this evening for the one month trial subscription and frankly, am overwhelmed by the depth and complexity of the thing. Perhaps the answer is to merely lurk on the Real Time thread and buy and sell based on the postings of others. This obviously has some real disadvantages as I have no idea who is reliable and who is not. Some of the posts there today and tonight were a bit of an eye opener. Appears there is a little animosity as of late between certain posters. Not withstanding one rather obnoxious fellow, common consensus is both you and the Chief are reliable, accurate and helpful to the newbies, for which I am most grateful.
All the best
