We have to be fair to the process at hand.

The very concept of allowing a market to be shorted in the first place was to provide extra sales on the upside and extra buying power at the low side . This is suppose to bring about a more stable market .

After saying that, you also find that the bulls make their worst trades at market
tops and the bears make their worst trades at market bottoms .

Show me a market bottom of an issue like IOM that is heavily shorted and I'll show you some bears that have made a bigtime mistake .

The reverse is also true on the upside as well.

Only time will tell .
