The compound is from a directed array. These are developed out of a "hit" from the initial library. As such they are optimized molecules that are modified from the initial "hit". ARQL, as I understand it with my meager knowledge of chemistry, takes the initial "hit" molecule and then systematically modifies it to produce the directed array. It is a rapid and rational optimization process. John de C
